The story starts in 1492 in the midst of the discovery of America. The players have to choose a European nationality from a list of eight and explore and conquer the New World.
The civilisations involved in the game are the Spanish, the British, the Portuguese, the French, the Germans, the Ottomans, the Russians and the Dutch. Each one has its own skills that have to be used to successfully complete the game.
Each civilisation has its own specific characteristics: the Spanish have a large army and the French have a natural ability to form alliances with the natives.
Your mission is to colonise the New World by establishing cities and exploiting abundant natural resources. You can do it alone or form an alliance with other powers.
